Was ist der Ernst-Achilles-Preis
Der Ernst-Achilles-Preis würdigt Abschlussarbeiten (Master & Bachelor) und Dissertationen, die sich mit herausragenden Innovationen rund um das Thema Brandschutz beschäftigen. In diesem Jahr liegt der Fokus auf Brandschutz neuer Energieträger wie Lithium-Batterien, Wasserstoff und Gas. Dennoch dürfen auch weiterhin Arbeiten eingereicht werden, die sich mit generellen Themen des Brandschutzes befassen. Ziel ist die Förderung und Anerkennung von Innovationsleistung in dem Sektor sowie junge Nachwuchskräfte für den Brandschutz zu begeistern. Neben der Qualität der Arbeit, sind Relevanz sowie der Nutzen für potentielle Anwender*innen Kriterien für die Bewertung der Arbeit.
Wer war Ernst Achilles?
Ernst Achilles gilt als Pionier im vorbeugenden Brandschutz und Vorreiter der medizinischen Notfallrettung durch die Feuerwehr. Als langjähriger Leiter der Frankfurter Feuerwehr und Universitätsdozent hat er den deutschen Brandschutz bis heute maßgeblich durch neue Ideen und Lösungsansätze geprägt und ist damit ein Vertreter des Geistes zur Weiterentwicklung des Brandschutzes in Deutschland. What is the Ernst-Achilles-Award
The Ernst-Achilles-Award recognizes final theses (Master & Bachelor) or dissertations, theses that deal with outstanding innovations in the field of fire protection. This year the focus is on fire protection of new energy sources such as lithium batteries, hydrogen and gas. Nevertheless, papers that deal with general fire protection issues may still be submitted. The aim is to promote and recognize innovative performance in the sector and to inspire young talents for fire protection. In addition to the quality of the work, relevance and the benefit for potential users are criteria for evaluating the work.
Who was Ernst Achilles?
Ernst Achilles is considered a pioneer in preventive fire protection and a pioneer in medical emergency rescue by the fire brigade. As head of the Frankfurt fire brigade and university lecturer for many years, he has significantly shaped German fire protection to this day with new ideas and solutions and is thus a representative of the spirit of further developing fire protection in Germany.
